Join us for a fun day on the water!
The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources, East Canyon State Park and experts from Kayak Fishing Utah are teaming up to offer a free Kayak Fishing Clinic for anglers who have never fished from a kayak before.
Event registration is free, but visitors must pay the $25 day-use fee to enter East Canyon State Park. (Your annual Utah State Parks Pass is valid for park entry.)

- Safety while fishing from a kayak
- Equipment and gear needed
- How to select and set up a kayak for fishing
- How to fish from a kayak
- Fish handling
- Utah bass tournament series
Event details
- Experienced kayak anglers will provide a presentation about kayak fishing.
- Expert anglers will demonstrate how to set up fishing rods and fish from a kayak.
What to expect
- Please dress appropriately for the weather.
- Bring a lawn chair, drinking water and snacks.
- Event registration is free, but participants must pay the $25 day-use fee to enter East Canyon State Park.
