This show will be intimate, and excellent.
Americana/alt-country singer/songwriter Karen Jonas knows how to tell a story, and her band can back it up, whether poignant or rocking.
Packing their band into Clatter's beautiful listening-room-style venue, with a cocktail bar on one side and espresso bar on the other, turns out to be a perfect fit. All the energy is there and you can hear the words.
Karen is a three-time Wammie (Washington Area Music) Award winner for Best Country and Americana Artist, Mid Atlantic Song Contest winner, and official SXSW Showcasing Artist. We can attest that she's a killer songwriter and her band delivers an awesome show.
We're very happy to be included on this tour, and we hope they'll play some songs from their upcoming album, "The Rise and Fall of American Kitsch."
Advance tickets are not required, although buying them allows you to select and secure your seats on the map (there is more seating than what is shown as reservable).
The doors will open at 5 for cocktails, coffee, happy hour specials. Dinner starts serving at 6, and the show at 7. The band will play two sets. Feel free to stay and socialize afterward.
