We are thrilled to announce this as the kick-off event for the DCASE NAP grant awarded for the KAPWA Theatre Project. The word "KAPWA," meaning 'togetherness' or 'neighbor,' embodies a recognition of shared identity and an inner self that is shared with others. We invite you to join us in this cultural activism and community-building effort. Your involvement can make a significant impact and contribute to the shared identity and togetherness symbolized by "KAPWA" as the Tagalog word "sama-sama" means "together."

This project is partially supported by a Neighborhood Access Program grant from the City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events.
