Kanban System Design (KSD)

NextUp’s Kanban System Design (KSD) training is a highly interactive two-day class accredited by Kanban University that helps students excel at designing and implementing Kanban systems. Students will become familiar with the fundamentals of Kanban by participating in an engaging and collaborative board game in which teams will compete to maximize value by optimizing workflow. The class, which includes elements of lecture and classroom discussion, will challenge students to develop and refine their own Kanban plan to drive decisions and improve work performance.

Certification

Upon completion of the class, students will receive a certificate of completion. In order to receive the Kanban Management Professional (KMP) credential, students must complete the second course in the Kanban University foundations track: Kanban Systems Improvement (KSI).

About Your Trainer

Kert Peterson began his career as a software engineer in NASA’s space shuttle program. These roots afford him practical insights into the daily challenges faced by testers, engineers, and other creatives working alongside business stakeholders. Personally trained by the creator of Scrum, Kert is one of just two Accredited Kanban Trainers (AKTs) who concurrently hold an active Certified Scrum Trainer (CST) credential with the Scrum Alliance. Kert earned a Bachelor of Science in mathematics from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Now, he and his family live in the sunny eastern foothills of the Canadian Rockies in the city of Calgary, Alberta. When Kert is not teaching, he likes to spend time playing mandolin and teaching tai chi.

Cancellation Policy

Students submitting cancellation requests 10 business days or more prior to the start of the course are entitled to a full refund. Students submitting cancellation requests less than 10 business days prior to the start of the course will be issued a credit toward a future NextUp Solutions course. The credit will be equal to the amount paid for the initial course less any applicable fees. Should the organizer cancel the course for any reason, each registered student will be refunded 100% of the registration cost they paid.
