Kākoʻo ʻŌiwi Farm Volunteer Experience at Heʻeia: Connecting with the Land and Community
Join Wayfinder Waikiki for a guided day of volunteering and exploring the beauty of Hawaiian land, complete with a personal guide, lunch provided by Wayfinder Waikiki, shuttle service, volunteer workshop, and a tour of stunning landscapes. As an added treat, you'll have the opportunity to sample kalo (taro) and Kulolo—a traditional Hawaiian dish made with taro and coconut.
A private shuttle will pick you up at the Wayfinder Waikiki, and will tour you to the Kākoʻo ʻŌiwi farm where you'll have the opportunity to learn about traditional Hawaiian farming practices and work alongside our team to cultivate the land. From planting to harvesting, you'll experience the dynamic aina and gain a deeper appreciation for the land that sustains us.
No experience is necessary, and all are welcome to join us for a day of fun, learning, and community building. We'll have all the tools and equipment ready for you, plus a delicious selection of musubis from Musubi Cafe Iyasume.
Throughout the Kākoʻo ʻŌiwi Farm volunteer experience at Heʻeia, you'll not only contribute to the restoration of the land but also forge meaningful connections with the dedicated workers and gain a profound appreciation for the cultural and environmental importance of the Heʻeia community. Your involvement will help support ongoing efforts to ensure the sustainability and vitality of this special place for future generations.
