Learning Modules: These entertaining sessions weave together creative pedagogical experiences. Covering culture, power, and race, among other topics, these sessions provide the tools and resources needed to model a welcome for all. Sample sessions include:

  • From Perfection to Progression
  • From Monocultural to Intercultural
  • From Colorblind to Color struck
  • From Fragility to Resilience
  • From Microaggressions to Micro Inclusions
  • From Bystander to Upstander

Synchronous Group Coaching: These large group sessions provide opportunities for you to engage in action and reflection praxis with other co-learners and experienced guides.

A Community of Practice: These conversation partners accompany you on your journey, reflecting on how to catalyze important change in your context. A helpful resource for your ongoing learning, these companions on the journey provide a “real time” sounding board for your own reflection.

Learning Resources: These curated materials provide hours of material to deepen your exploration of these topics. The printable resources give you conversation prompts and homework assignments to reinforce the learning of the course.

ABOUT THE TEACHERS

David Scherer is an educator, trainer, and performer who has helped facilitate healing justice for individuals and organizations for the past 20+ years. A Qualified Administrator in the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI), a certified facilitator for the Kaleidoscope Institute, and a trained practitioner of Restorative Justice Circles, David brings an invitational approach to intercultural development and anti-racism that avoids guilt, blame, and shame. He has taught Intercultural Development at the graduate level and has facilitated hundreds of trainings and workshops around the US and beyond for multinational corporations and local non-profits alike. David is a winner of the Tommy Award for excellence in youth development and is the co-founder of the Twin Cities IDI Community of Practice and “JUSTmove: Antiracism through the Arts” (www.JUSTmoveculture.com).

Joe Davis is a nationally-touring artist, educator, and speaker based in Minneapolis, MN. He employs poetry, music, theater, and dance to shape culture. He is the co-creator of JUSTmove, racial justice education through the arts and has keynoted, facilitated conversation, and served as teaching artist at hundreds of high schools and universities including programs throughout the country including New York, Boston, and most recently as the Artist-in-Residence at Luther Seminary where he earned a Masters in Theology of the Arts.
