Comedian Justin Williams Brings ‘Dear Friends’ to KC for an Evening of Laughs
NYC-based funnyman and Kansas City native to headline June 18 show
(NEW YORK) May 20, 2016– New York-based comedian and Kansas City native, Justin Williams, is coming back home this summer—and he’s bringing some funny friends with him. Justin Williams & Dear Friends—featuring Regina DeCicco and Akash Bhasin—are slated to fill the Uptown Arts Bar, 3611 Broadway, with giggles, guffaws and jokes galore starting at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, June 18.
As one of New York City’s funniest up-and- coming comics, Williams has performed at comedy festivals across the United States and Canada. He has been featured on Comedy Central’s Jokes.com, SiriusXM’s Raw Dog Comedy, The Elite Daily, Men’s Health Magazine, “Morning Buzz Live” on VH1, “Trial by Laughter” on Comcast and “Laughs” on Fox. Three years ago, his sold out show, “Justin Williams: Kansas City Masterpiece,” made front-page news in the Kansas City Star’s Entertainment section. And he is once again returning to his hometown for an encore—and he’s doing it with the help of some very talented friends.
DeCicco made her television debut on AXS-TV;Gotham Comedy Live. Her stand-up was featured on FOX TV, Laughs. She’s performed at colleges all over the United States; she’s even done comedy in China! She’s been a part of the Nantucket Comedy Festival, the Laughing Skull Comedy Festival in Atlanta, Georgia, the She-Devil Comedy Festival held in NYC; Boston’s Women in Comedy Festival. She is the 2012 Ladies of Laughter Winner. Regina is developing an original idea for a Broadway musical.
Bhasin has entertained crowds in China, India and now the United States. His unique wit and no holds barred sense of humor has helped him garner a fan a fan base across the globe. Akash has been featured in the second season of the critically acclaimed series “Its A Chucked Up Life.” He can also been seen in a number of on line sketches with the acclaimed Cult Comedy Picture Show. Many of their sketches have been featured on CNN and the Huffington Post. Akash recieved 1st place in the Catch a Rising Star competition; 2nd place in Gilda’s Laugh off competition. No matter what country he's in, Akash's  honest and hilarious perspective on life, cultures and religion keep audiences wanting more.
