About this event
Join us for Junk & Joy: Journaling for Creatives—a fun, relaxed hangout for junk journal lovers!
🎀 Your Hosts: Su Wu (@sudotwu) and Mara McGinnis (@mara.mcginnis), fellow junk journal lovers. We are so excited to hang out and meet other junk journal lovers in Seattle and work on mini projects to spice up our journals together. Think of it as a mix of crafting, sharing, and making new creative friends!
✨ Craft Supplies: Your event fee will go toward providing basic craft materials to use during the event—scissors, tape rollers, glue, markers, cute stickers, fun scrap paper, and more. Feel free to bring your own supplies to share and swap with others! Bring your own journal is encouraged, but if you don’t have one, we might have some spare ones for sale. Plus, there’s a cute surprise waiting for you at the end—stay tuned! 🎁
💫 Art Junk Swap Station: Bring your old goodies and swap them for something new-to-you! Whether it’s vintage paper, washi tape, random embellishments, or funky scraps, this will be a fun way to trade treasures with fellow creatives.
🎨 Mini Craft Projects: We’re so excited to create with you! We're still finalizing the project details, but we’ll update this space and send out more info as the event gets closer—stay tuned! We can’t wait to share laughs, inspiration, and a little crafty joy together.
The event will be chill—plenty of time to chat, create, and swap ideas. We’ll go over more details when you check in, but really, just come ready to have fun!
🍰 Snacks and Beverages: We’ll have sparkling water, light snacks, and some other fun, creative beverage ideas that we are trying to finalize for the event; more to come. 🍸
📸 Photos and Video: We’ll also capture photos and videos for memories and social media. If you don’t want to be featured, just let us know at check-in—no worries!
We can’t wait to bring this event to life and build a cozy, crafty community in Seattle! Thanks for helping us make it all happen.
Let us know if you have any questions. See you soon! ✂️📒💕
