The Junior Ranger program strives to teach kids from 5-10 years old about the basics of outdoors stewardship and animal & plant wildlife while paying close attention to the Leave No Trace policy. This program is also open to older kids and anyone with the desire to learn more about the outdoors.

Duration:1.5-2 hours

  • This program includes a short hike along bluebonnet, mulberry, and prairie trail with learning stations.
  • Certificate + badge upon completion at the end of the hike.
  • Please meet at the education building by the picnic tables.

Ask about our level 2: Junior Ranger Expeditions. They're special projects and programs for kids who've completed the the initial junior ranger hike.

Pencil it in! The Young Naturalist program will be starting in October and goes through May. This is a program focused on different life science topics such herpetology, entomology, geology, and so forth. Ask the staff at CRP for more info on how to register.
