Seven Bends State Park
1191 Lupton Rd Woodstock, VA 22664Is your little one interested in becoming an official Seven Bends State Park Junior Ranger? Join Rangers along with Lord Fairfax Soil & Water Conservation District and Friends of the North Fork of the Shenandoah River for our second annual Junior Ranger Camp! A Junior Ranger is a steward of our precious lands, water, air and wild spaces for all those to enjoy today and in the future. This camp is reserved for kids 5-9 years old.
The hours of this Monday through Friday (July 8-12) program are 9 a.m. to noon. We will study a new facet of nature every day, all of which combine to make the great outdoors, well, fantastic.
The fee for camp this year is $25. In addition to materials, this cost includes a junior ranger badge from Seven Bends State Park and a daily take-home item that reminds us of the principles we learned. Submitting a check made payable to the Treasurer of Virginia will insure a spot for your child. Please mail checks to the park located at 2111 S. Hollingsworth Rd., Woodstock, VA 22664.
Please come prepared to get wet and muddy every day and wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes. When the weather and water levels allow, we'll be into the river, so pack an additional set of clothing and a towel.
