About this event

    Join the Arabia Alliance Rangers as we learn and practice the fine art of fishing! We will use the National Park Service - "Let's Go Fishing" book to learn about fish and fishing with a focus on safety. We'll learn about bait and casting as we try our hand at catching some fish at Hairston Park. The event is free for children of all ages and their adults. We will provide rod and reel for you to use. If you have your own fishing equipment, please bring it along!

    Great! We hope you will come and fish in a new place with your friends. Maybe you will learn something new or have something to teach outhers.

    Can I bring my dog?

    Sorry, for the comfort of everyone there are no pets allowed

    What if I don't have fishing equipment?

    That's fine, we will provide rods and reels for you to use as well as bait.

    What if I have never fished before?

    That's perfect! We are here to teach you the basics and get you fishing!
