Celebrate Juneteenth with a 3-day weekend!  Build community, support Black businesses, & cultivate Black joy!

UjamaaFest Weekend is sponsored by KwanzaaMe, NerdWonder and The Uprising Network, and is curated by LWest &amp; Co. We are Black millennial Detroiters committed to cultural celebration, community, and being Unapologetically Black. Ujamaa (oo-jah-muh) means cooperative economics in Swahili, so our UjamaaFest is rooted in self-determination and support for fellow Black Business owners and community members. Join us as this weekend grows into so much more than we could imagine. We’re excited to build, grow, laugh, dance and celebrate Juneteenth with our community and look forward to celebrating with you!

6/17 Black Business &amp; Bar Crawl on the Avenue of Fashion in partnerhsip with The Uprising Network (21+)<ul><li> Bar/Business Locations: Avenue of Fashion, Checkin Location tba</li><li> Come celebrate and join a lituation on the Historic Avenue of Fashion! Each ticket comes with a Black Bar Crawl tshirt, a shot at the door from a Black owned liquor sponsor, a wristband that gets you discounted drinks and entry into 3 stops, and entered into giveaways from Black owned businesses !</li></ul>6/18 Black Joy Marketplace (Family friendly)<ul><li>Location: Tindal Recreation Center, 10301 W Seven Mile Rd, Detroit, MI 48221</li><li>Bring out ya momma, neighbor and the kids for this one! Our Black Joy Marketplace includes a popup by Black Business owners, food trucks, activities for the kids for Father&#x27;s Day, and celebratory Juneteenth community programming.</li></ul>6/19 Black Brunch with a Purpose in partnership with WR Experience (21+)<ul><li>Location: Jam Handy, 2900 E Grand Blvd, Detroit, MI 48202</li><li>Come brunch and party with a purpose! A portion of the proceeds go to a Black-led initative we believe in--Project Rise Up. Your ticket gets you unlimited access to a Brunch buffet, photography, day party, vibes by DJ Mars, drinks by Mr Mimosa, and hosted by Lana LaDonna!</li></ul>
