About SOA Co. Books

SOA Co. Books is an independent, Black, and female-owned pop-up bookstore based in Houston. SOA sells books that represent the voices of marginalized communities while emphasizing Black authors. Every purchase allows the bookstore to support under-served communities through volunteerism, reading programs, and book donations.

morganne “mo” nikole, known under the performative name WOMON (Pronounc’d WOMAN) is a Houston, Texas based Black Lesbian Sound Curator focused on creating safe spaces to heal, connect, and discover through curated sound experiences. WOMON is the creator of @blkpplchrch; a functioning sound-design fellowship space where all points of spiritual and secular expression can emerge and collectively take shape. Sounds @blkpplchrch amplifies Pan-African eclecticism across the African Diaspora experience designed to move you HA-YA! This is not a religious based space nor is there intention to influence the beliefs of the participants.The movement was formed in Houston, Texas and first introduced to the public in Oct. 2022.
