In partnership with the City of Detroit, Detroit Branch NAACP, Juneteenth Jubilee, Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, Metro Detroit Black Business Alliance, Detroit Public Schools Community District, Detroit Means Business, Black Leaders Detroit, and the Eastern Market Development Corporation, we are excited to announce our Juneteenth Freedom Fest on Sunday, June 16, 2024 which commemorates the day of liberation for African Americans in our country.

Eastern Market has bike racks on the outside of select buildings.
There are no lockers provided at this event.
Eastern Market is accessible to wheelchairs, strollers, scooters, and other modes of assistance are welcome at the Juneteenth Freedom Fest.
There will be an ASL interpreter at the Main Stage.
The Juneteenth Freedom Fest is a free event!
You should be prepared for: Food vendors & Pop Up Businesses
You should have at least 2 different methods of payment for vendors.
There are indoor restrooms located inside of Shed 5.
No, you can not ride bikes, scooters, or skateboards on site.
The restrooms are accessible for wheelchairs, scooters, strollers, etc.
The Kids Zone will have volunteers who specialize in child care (All Kids Zone volunteers have received background checks through the City of Detroit). It is encouraged for parents to stay close to children during the Juneteenth Freedom Fest at all times.
The Grown Zone can be accessed by purchasing a $10 wristband. The wristband grants you access to: Grown Zone Tent Area & 2 Drinks
You can find a Juneteenth volunteer in any area you're in. Look out for people in yellow Juneteenth shirts with volunteer across their back.
The Juneteenth Freedom Fest will happen rain or shine!

We will have a First Aid tent for any minor injury. However, in case of any medical emergency, you should call 911.
Lawn chairs are strongly encouraged.We have limited seating for senior citizens.
All attendees of the Juneteenth Freedom Fest will be registered.
