Join us for an unforgettable celebration of freedom and culture at New Jersey's Largest Free Juneteenth Festival, proudly presented by the NAACP Metuchen-Edison Area Branch (MEAB) in partnership with The Township of Edison and Edison Job Corps Center. This year, we are honored to have the legendary Dr. Opal Lee, the "Grandmother of Juneteenth," kick off our festivities.

  • Grand Opening by Dr. Opal Lee: Experience the inspirational presence of a living legend as Dr. Opal Lee opens the event with her words of wisdom and passion for Juneteenth.
  • Main Stage Hosted by Dr. Bob Lee: Enjoy a lineup of sensational live performances, hosted by WBLS Radio Personality Dr. Bob Lee, showcasing the rich diversity of African American culture.
  • Music by DJ Sequence: Groove to the beats of DJ Sequence, spinning the best in R&B, hip-hop, jazz, and more.
  • Food: Savor a variety of delicious cuisines from local vendors, offering a taste of traditional and contemporary African American dishes.

The NAACP Metuchen-Edison Area Branch (MEAB) is a local extension of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), the nation's oldest and largest civil rights organization. Founded in 1942, the MEAB branch is dedicated to advocating for social justice, equality, and the elimination of racial discrimination in the Metuchen and Edison communities.
