Juneteenth Discussion: Why does the Black-White Wealth Gap Persist?

Hosted by the Yale Black Alumni Association

This in-person event will take place at The Theater Center in Times Square. Join us for a thought-provoking discussion on the factors contributing to the Black-White wealth gap and what can be done to address it. Hear from experts and engage in meaningful conversations with fellow attendees.

This event is co-hosted by the Yale Black Alumni Association, Yale Alumni Association and two journalists who teach about racial wealth gaps at The Yale School of Management. Those journalists are Louise Story (YC '03, SOM '06) and Ebony Reed, and they will discuss their new book "Fifteen Cents on the Dollar: How Americans Made the Black-White Wealth Gap."

The YBAA, Story and Reed will also convene a panel of local NYC professionals who are working to close the Black-white wealth gap.

Come join to see other Yale alumni who are interested in this topic. Book signing as well as mingling before and after.

Each ticket includes a copy of the "Fifteen Cents" book, purchased from the local Black-owned bookstore Cafe con Libros. Free refreshments provided by the Yale Alumni Association.
