Where The Heart Is and The City of Chesapeake present Juneteenth: A Community Cookout
Join us for the Juneteenth Community Cookout on Sun Jun 18 2023 at 12:00 PM EDT. This event will be held at 1400 Elizabeth River Way, Chesapeake, VA 23324.
Come celebrate with us! Bring your family and friends for a day filled with delicious food, music, games, and community. We will have a childrens tent courtesy of the Chesapeake Fine Arts Commission featuring Juneteenth focused coloring pages and activities. We have curated a black business market for all of your shopping needs. Utopia Feni will be curating a creative village highlighting local, community-focused, black artists and brands . Be sure to also stop by and see some of the best DJ's the area has to offer as well.
Did we mention that the event is free? We have free food, free music, free entertainment, and more important, free communal energy. Don't miss out on the fun! We look forward to seeing you there.
