About this event

Black culinary leaders in Baltimore will come together with Magdalena, a Maryland Bistro at The Ivy Hotel on Juneteenth (Monday, June 19) to host a special event centered around food and art. Collaborators Chef Scott Bacon of The Ivy Hotel and Magdalena, Amanda Mack of Crust by Mack, Durian Neal of Loving Spoon Collective and Malcolm Sizer of The Urban Oyster will offer a variety of small plates in celebration and honor of the Black experience.

In addition to the special collaboration menu, The Ivy Hotel will host a lively artist space gallery featuring mixed mediums from local BIPOC artists that guests of the hotel and diners can enjoy and purchase. Ticket holders of the Juneteenth event will be welcomed with a special cocktail and Chef’s amuse-bouche. Weather permitting, Black Assets & Company will serenade guests in Magdalena’s blossoming courtyard with live music and spoken word with instruments.

Magdalena is the celebrated restaurant of The Ivy Hotel, a Relais & Châteaux property in Baltimore’s historic Mount Vernon neighborhood.
