Join us for our June WomenRISE: How to Create Impactful Events as a Small Business with Kymberly Nielsen, Statewide Program Manager, TWU-Center for Women Entrepreneurs.

This talk will summarize how to start planning an event for your small business.

You'll receive:

  • A budget checklist
  • Staffing recommendations
  • Tips and Tricks to Save Time, Treasure, and Talent.

After this presentation, you will have a roadmap for determining what event is best for your business.

In-Person Attendance

In-person events will be held at Texas Woman's University, Denton Campus, Old Main Building, 2nd Floor, Rm 257.

Breakfast will be served at 7:30 AM. The official program starts at 8:00 AM. Come and network with other female entrepreneurs. Make sure you bring your business cards.

*It is a walk to the Old Main Building. You may consider wearing comfortable shoes to walk in and bring your dress shoes for the event.

Summer Parking Information

Park in the parking lot on the corner of Bell and College St. next to the Bellaire Apartments and in the parking lot directly across from it, which is part of the Multipurpose Classroom- Laboratory Building. Both are right across the street from the Old Main Building, where WomenRISE is. A parking permit will be emailed to you the night before the event. This permit must be displayed on your dashboard.

Online Attendance

If you are attending online, you will receive the Zoom link to join. We will have an online host to help facilitate the event. We will continue to have pre/post-networking opportunities.

Networking before the event: 7:35-7:55 am

Networking after the event: 9:05-9:25 am

Official program: 8:00 - 9:00 am

**If you do not receive the Zoom link, it could either be in your junk/spam folder or you may have registered with a different email. If you cannot find it, don't forget we live stream the event on our Facebook page @TWUCWE.

**All registered attendees will receive the replay link after the event.**

Speaker Bio

Kymberly Nielsen serves as the Statewide Program Manager at Texas Woman’s University – Center for Women Entrepreneurs. Her extensive event experience includes being the director of convention services in the hotel industry, senior event manager at UT, and managing partner of her family business in festivals. As an Independent Professional Conference Planner, she has had the honor of working with Presidential Candidates, the Vatican, and Supreme Court Justices. However, the smaller gatherings truly resonate with her, the events that bring personal joy to her clients.

Kymberly is dedicated to empowering women in business by creating meaningful connections through programs offered by the CWE.
