Ethics of Termination

Ethics and Difficult Terminations: Ending treatment with clients can be a taxing and
difficult decision. What ethical guidelines can help us make these important decisions.
Also, what practical wisdom can guide us when this decision is a complicated one.
a. Participants will be reminded of the ethical guidelines that govern decisions to
end the treatment of clients.
b. Participants will be given clinical information to inform their decisions to end
treatment of clients.
c. Participants will be informed of two difficult terminations and the factors that
led to a decision to end treatment.
Dr. Jerry Davis, PhD., LCSW, LMFT, LMHC,
Dr. Davis provides clinical supervision and training for the team at Story House Counseling in Leo. He is a Professor Emeritus at Huntington University with 40 years of therapy experience. He is a licensed clinical social worker, marriage and family therapist, and mental health counselor. He is a board member of FCC and beloved by all his former students!
Annalee Rawley, LMFT
Annalee has nearly a decade of experience in helping clients with relationship issues, family conflicts, coping with grief and loss, & motivation, self esteem, and confidence. She works with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment.
Fellowship is at 730am. Announcements and devotion will begin at 745am. One CEU will be provided (for 2023-24 members or those that purchase a single CEU ticket).
