This class will give individuals the opportunity to be informed of Florida laws and statutes governing the safe and recreational use of firearms. In addition, individuals who attend the class will learn local requirements for owning and purchasing a firearm. After learning rules for safe gun handling and basic shooting fundamentals, those attending the class will have the opportunity to perform various shooting drills and learn weapon retention techniques.

What should I expect after registering?

After you have registered, an officer will contact you in regard to further safety instruction and completing a required waiver for this course. This waiver and agreement must be completed in advance, prior to the day of the course, otherwise you will not be able to attend.
