Research visits to the Textual Research Rooms are by appointment only and are scheduled no further than three months in advance. New weekly appointment blocks open each Monday. The Archives 2 Textual Research Rooms are open Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Researchers are highly encouraged to conduct a virtual consultation before scheduling a research visits. Virtual consultations can be requested by contacting archives2reference@nara.gov. Please provide detailed information about your topic so that your request can be directed to the appropriate consultant.
