SQL Server workloads in AWS

Amazon RDS is an easy to manage relational database service optimized for total cost of ownership. It is simple to set up, operate, and scale with demand. Amazon RDS automates the undifferentiated database management tasks, such as provisioning, configuring, backups, and patching. Amazon RDS enables customers to create a new database in minutes. Customers can now turn on HA and DR with a click of a button.

Amazon RDS Custom is a managed database service for applications that require customization of the underlying operating system and database environment. Benefits of RDS automation with the access needed for legacy, packaged, and custom applications.

Nirmal John has been working at AWS since 2021 as Database specialist Solutions Architect. Prior to that he has been a SQL Server veteran, working with SQL Server since 1996.
