The Domestic Violence Institute offers training designed to provide professionals, volunteers, and community partners with the information they need to advocate for survivors of domestic violence. Guided by principles of trauma-informed advocacy, each session offers content and a skills-based curriculum so we can all reduce violence in our community. DAWN’s Domestic Violence Institute meets Washington State requirements for continuing education for domestic violence advocates.

This 8-session course provides foundational information about domestic violence, advocacy, and the life-saving programs and services offered at DAWN.

Six of the eight sessions of this class will be held LIVE virtually via Zoom. Our FIRST & LAST sessions will happen in person in our Kent location.

The cost of this training is $350 per person.

The group meets every Tuesday and Thursday from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, starting Tuesday, March 5th, 2024, and ending on Thursday, March 28th, 2024.
