About this event

Guided walk with (2) Native Plant Members - Sally Stein Park Ranger at Corkscrew and Becky Troop Master Gardener and Native Plant Enthusiast.

  • This will be a paid event $25.00 person
  • This has the potential to be WET WALK depending on the rains.
  • Explore pine flatlands, marsh, and cypress swamp
  • Search and identify plants, birds, and possibly other wildlife
  • Estimated distance is 2 miles

Note that we will be walking through uneven surfaces with some roots, branches and logs to navigate through and around. Participants must be physically able to walk on uneven and sometimes difficult terrain through water and vegetation, step and/or climb over logs and branches, and be able to climb a ladder onto a vehicle. All participants must sign a liability waiver and must be at least 18 years of age to participate.

What to Bring:

Water, Snacks/Lunch, Sun/Insect Protection, Binoculars, Waterproof Camera Dry bag in a backpack for anything you do not want to get wet. Optional: Change of Clothes & Shoes. (Walking sticks will be provided)

What to Wear:

Long pants and long-sleeved shirt, Old hiking or old tennis shoes are ideal (don't wear rubber booths that will not let water drain out)
