Jump & Jive Dance Class

Jen Clearyis a born dancer.  She began taking lessons at the age of 3 and has been movin' & groovin' her way through life ever since.  She grew up having impromptu dance parties and performances whenever an opportunity presented itself. In 2006 she graduated with a BA in Dance from Denison University. In 2007 she moved to Chicago, where she continued sharing her love of movement with others through teaching.  Jen embraces a teaching style that provides a loving environment encouraging individual creativity, an engaged classroom, and development of courage and leadership skills.Curious about the power of learning  to provide healing, community and endless amounts of joy, Jen founded Soul Centered Movement in 2016 and expanded her teaching repertoire beyond dance to include her passion for personal development and being social.  She now offers classes, workshops and mentoring to students who are looking for more creativity, courage, and connection in their lives.  You can find out more atwww.soulcenteredmovement.com

For kids ages 8-12.
 
Get your creativity on in this dance &amp; movement class designed for kids who love making up their own moves!  We'll explore elements of rhythm, space, energy and time using creative dance concepts in this upbeat class that focuses on thinking outside the box, collaborative projects and encouraging students' creativity. We'll learn fundamental dance steps, learn new ways to improvise and work on mini choreography projects.  Students will have a chance to dance solo, partner up, and work together in group activities.  Each class will be a new adventure.  This is a great class for independent movers who want to learn some challenging steps and also like to make up their own moves!
 
 
Are drop in classes available? 
This class is drop in friendly.  Drop in classes are $15 per child.  5 and 10 class packages are also available.
How do I get there?
Rast Ballet is located close to the Irving Park brown line.  There is also free, non-permit street parking available.

Important Dates 
There is no class on 11/23/16 and 12/28/16.  
Do you offer refunds?
There are no refunds and drop in class purchases are non-exchangeable and non-transferable.  Please make sure you can join us before registering for a specific class date.  If you need flexibility in choosing when you come to class, a class pack may be the best choice for you.  Class Packs are non-refundable, non-exchangeable and non-transferable.  They offer the flexibility of choosing last minute what dates you attend class.  5 class packs expire 3 months from the date of your first class and 10 class packs expire 6 months from the date of your first class.
