Little River Watershed Association's mission is to aim to conserve the Little River watershed through stewardship, education, and outreach. We strive to be the "voice" of the Little River.

Stream School  is STEM based, educational experience for kids to learn about the Little Watershed from a hands on perspective.

Whispering River RV Resort

Stream School for Kids is making it&#x27;s return in 2022 !We are back with this fun, educational event for kids, but with COVID safety in mind. We ask that all COVID safety precautions are taken during the event, and if your child or someone close to you is feeling ill, please refrain from attending this event.Stream School is a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics or STEM-based event for kids, geared for grades 3-7. There will be different stations including Water Quality/Water Chemistry, Watershed Station, Macroinvertebrates, and everyone&#x27;s favorite Fish Identification which includes a snorkel in the river at the end with our partners Conservation Fisheries, Inc. This program is a wonderful way for kids to learn about watersheds as a whole, and what all inhabits within our watershed system, all while practicing critical thinking skills in an outdoors environment.Kids should wear water shoes and swim clothes if they chose to get in the water, as well as a towel and a change of clothes for after the event. We will have snacks provided after the event!Adults are welcome to stay but it is not required unless younger children would like to attend. Note, only children need a ticket, a parent or guardian accompanying does not need a ticket.
