Emmy-nominated comedian Kiran Deol needs to recapture her joy after an unprovoked assault.

<h2>Joysuck</h2><h3>Tues, June 6th </h3><h3>Doors: 7pm//S﻿how: 7:30pm</h3><h3>$﻿5</h3><p>Oscar shortlisted and Emmy nominated comedian Kiran Deol is hospitalized after a stranger smashed a bottle into her face in an unprovoked assault. I know – kind of a joysuck, right!? Which also happens to be the name of the show. Joysuck is a stand-up and storytelling hour about overcoming the sucks of adulthood and recapturing the joy of childhood that she is workshopping for the Edinburgh Fringe. So come, laugh, and maybe even (hopefully!) reclaim a little joy!  Based on stand-up by Kiran Deol.</p><p><strong>Kiran Deol </strong>is a comedian, filmmaker, and actress whose work tackles difficult topics with humor and intimacy. She starred on Mike Schur’s NBC series Sunnyside opposite Kal Penn. Other TV credits include How to Get Away with Murder, Modern Family, New Girl, and more. On the touring side, Kiran has headlined at the New York Comedy Festival, San Francisco Sketchfest, Soho Comedy Theatre in London, and the Kennedy Center in Washington DC.
