To help alleviate stress and restlessness, we have created an activity that can bring us together, yet in a socially distant way.

Anywhere Outside

Like you, the staff at SVBC are strictly adhering to the Bay Area directive to shelter in place. And we&#x27;re grateful that, within these parameters, outdoor recreation is encouraged for the maintenance of our physical and mental health. To help alleviate stress and restlessness, we have created an activity that can bring us together, yet in a socially distant way. The joy of biking is the central theme. Go for at least 3 bike rides before April 8th, and while on your ride observe your surroundings and take photos to share. Truth be told, this idea was conceptualized while watching two ducks playing in a mud puddle -they were blissful and served as a reminder to enjoy the small things :)Details:1) Commit to ride your bike at least 3 times before April 8th.2) Additionally, upload at least one photo from your ride by 11:59pm on April 7th. Capture everyday scenes in life or nature that bring joy and put a smile on your face. Please use the hashtag #joyridesv and tag us @bikeSV (Twitter) or @BikeSiliconValley (Facebook/Instagram)3) Riders who upload a photo from their ride and use the hashtag #joyridesv and tag us @bikeSV (Twitter) or @BikeSiliconValley (Facebook/Instagram) will be entered into a drawing for one of four $50 Sports Basement gift cards. The drawing will happen on Wednesday, April 8th. We are not encouraging this to be a group ride activity. This is intended to be a solo activity or with others who are part of your household.If you pass other riders, please give as much space as safely possible. And, if you are riding behind someone, give at least 20&#x27; of space.
