This intimate seminar follows Invisible Man’s journey from South to North, from the country to the city. Discussion will focus on Harlem as the novel’s dramatic setting and the swirl of life and culture that Invisible Man author Ralph Ellison describes. Readings will be provided in advance, and participants will be encouraged to engage in active discussion moderated by Mona Simpson.
