Jonkunoo, also known as Junkanoo (and other variations), is a festive celebration rooted in West African heritage, brought to the Caribbean by enslaved Africans, and now a vibrant cultural tradition celebrated in Jamaica, the Bahamas, and other Caribbean islands.
Annet extends a warm invitation for you gain insight into the significance of Jonkunoo, traditional Jamaican street theatre.

Short Presentation including an introduction to the Jonkunoo costumes
Display – Large Prints featuring Pitchy Patchy plus other characters
Activities: including making a Festival Jonkunoo stick
