Joint Strategies Utilized by CERT Ukraine and CISA for Cyber Defense

We are excited to extend an exclusive invitation for a joint event hosted by Cyber Ranges Federal, featuring U.S. and Ukrainian cybersecurity dignitaries and experts.

This event promises to be an enriching platform for International cyber threat sharing using a collaborative exchange of information about vulnerabilities, techniques, tactics, and indicators of compromise (IoCs) at the forefront of the Russian and Ukrainian conflict. Engage in a dialog where nations pool resources and expertise to create a unified front against cyber threats.

Security practitioners have relied on Cyber Threat Intelligence and information sharing for years to identify and address threats proactively. However, knowing the threats we face and the capabilities of different threat actors hasn't notably changed organizations' risk exposure.

This event will explore a new approach to expose organizations to actual attacks and safely observe how Ukrainian cyber teams prepare to defend and respond to attacks by implementing high-fidelity digital twins of real infrastructure to gain the necessary experience to defend against nefarious attacks.

Presenters will deliver first-hand stories from the Computer Emergency Response Team of Ukraine (CERT-UA), the Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency of the United States, and their field-hardened experience dealing with current cyber threat actors.

During this event, CERT-UA will present their experience related to a Gamaredon (a.k.a UAC-0010) and Sandworm, a nefarious data theft attack on critical infrastructure. The Gamaredon Group is a Russian cyber-espionage hacking group sponsored by the state that has been active since at least 2013 and focused on distributing new, custom-developed malware.

This 1-day event is designed for Federal and SI CISOs, Policy Makers, and Operators. Our presenters will explore best practices to help leadership understand how to level the field in the asymmetric battle space. The live fire event will engage threat actors and provide a cyber defense scenario so attendees can observe and learn how to respond rapidly and share information about international cyber threats.
