Annual meetings of the Georgia Chapter of Soil & Water Conservation Society and Society for Georgia Archaeology are being held jointly in Macon May 9-10, 2024 at the Bibb Co. UGA Extension Office. The meeting theme is "Rising Together: Collaborative Conservation & Preservation for Georgia". Featuring a tour of the Ocmulgee Mounds National Historic Park and focusing on middle GA points of interest, this meeting will inform and inspire members and guests of both groups. All are welcome! Join us for refreshing networking with like minded folks!
- The core meeting is Thursday, May 9 at 1:00 PM through Friday, May 10 at 12:00 PM
- Additional activities around the core meeting for both societies will commence the morning of May 9 and go through Saturday morning May 11
- Activities include business meetings Thursday morning, banquets Thursday night, the Ocmulgee Mounds tour Friday afternoon, and a social paddle Saturday morning
- Registration includes banquet and 1 box lunch before Ocmulgee Mounds tour Friday
