The Pangea Network is an international 501(c)(3)non-profit organization dedicated to empowering women and youth in Kenya and the United States with the knowledge, skills and an ongoing network of support in order to achieve their dreams and make positive, life-changing contributions in the communities where they live.
Funds raised from this event will be directed to fund a training program for the women in the village of Mbitin, Kenya, a rural Maasai village with over 1,000 residents. Helping this Maasai community is a passion project for Cindy and John who have assisted in funding a local permanent source of water, a beekeeping program, education scholarships and personal hygiene kits for school age girls.
The Pangea training program will introduce groups of women to a 4 year comprehensive program curriculum that includes health and wellness practices, reproductive health, financial literacy, personal development, bookkeeping and business skills, human rights and a micro-financing program.
