"In the circle, no one stands above. We join, not center. Healing begins when we belong to the whole, not the center." - Indigenous ideology
Join us for an intentional and soul-nourishing evening as we honor and learn about our lineage through storytelling, creative expression, and collective remembrance – grounded in Decolonizing for Matriarchy and the spirit of rematriation.
This gathering invites adults into deeper connection – to self, to ancestry, and to community – centering care, reciprocity, intuition, and the return to ancestral ways of being, knowing, and relating to land, body, and each other.
Agenda:
👋 Welcome: Arrive, settle in, and open the circle with shared intention.
📖 Cultural Spotlight: Explore a featured work uplifting Black, Indigenous, and diasporic voices.
🎨 Creative Practice: Participate in a reflective, hands-on activity rooted in cultural tradition and ancestral memory.
🎤 Open Mic: Share your truth, your story, your voice – or witness others with presence and care.
📲 Connection & Community: Build meaningful relationships rooted in mutual respect and collective growth.
Book contributions are welcomed and may reflect a range of cultural and ancestral perspectives.
🏳️🌈 Safe Space Commitment:
This is a space centering BIPOC and 2SLGBTQ+ communities, guided by values of rematriation – restoring balance, honoring the sacred, reclaiming voice, and returning to community care – while welcoming allies committed to decolonial practice, deep listening, and accountability.
