Are you interested in joining STEM Scouts?

<p>STEM Scouts is a pilot program of BSA that helps to ignite curiosity of STEM in youth from Elementary to Middle School. Though we are virtual, our program continues to be hands on and engaging for kids to explore STEM &amp; STEM careers.</p><h2>Join us to learn about STEM Scouts Program! </h2><p>STEM Scouts Mission: Help young people grow in character and skills as they explore their curiosity in STEM fields. We do that by using these methods:</p><ul><li>Preform hands-on Activities</li><li>Develop Skills</li><li>Discover Career Possibilities</li><li>Provide Service to Others</li></ul><h3>Our Program</h3><p>Each year STEM Scouts focuses on age-appropriate topics that range from animation to astronomy. This season we have 5 topics; which each have 4 meetings per topic. To connect relevant careers, we have LIVE career connections the 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month! All lessons and materials are provided with different learning models for flexibility for any learning abilities and preferences.</p><p>Elementary School Topics (3-5 grade topics)</p><ul><li>It&#x27;s Not Magic, It is Magnets</li><li>Under Your Skin</li><li>Animation</li><li>Meet Your Earth (Earth Science)</li><li>Reaching for the Stars</li></ul><p>Middle School Topics (6-8th grade)</p><ul><li>Mobile APPventures</li><li>That&#x27;s Show Business, Baby!</li><li>Animation</li><li>Simple Machines</li><li>Electrical Engineering (Snap Circuits)</li></ul><h3>Learn to Register and Get Started</h3><ul><li>Labs are starting Sept 28th, Oct 26th, December 7th, OR January 25th</li><li>To register yourself as a volunteer - bit.ly/STEM-Mentor</li><li>To register your youth in the program - bit.ly/STEMYouth</li><li>If you are looking for STEM NOVA resources, please note this is a separate program.
