About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

An award-winning multi-faceted artist who uses drawing, collage, linocut, and design, mixing analog and digital worlds. She’s the Founding Director of MFA Illustration Practice at the Maryland Institute College of Art; is associate editor and contributing writer of the History of Illustration textbook; and creates limited edition ceramics for Pbody Dsign. Her collective works represent her view of illustrators’ roles as makers and storytellers.

Whitney Sherman will talk about five significant projects in her creative life that have defined her career as an illustrator, designer, educator and entrepreneur. It will be filled with plenty of visuals and give an inside view of the life of an illustrator/artist and storyteller.

Conversation, dessert, and coffee in the museum atrium following the lecture.
