About this event

Every Thursday at 9am, the Admissions team hosts Orientation over Zoom. We'll discuss the programs, eligibility, activities and benefits. You bring an open mind and we'll show you a career pathway that can change your life. The only cost to Job Corps is your time and energy. You can get a diploma, job training, residential living, life success skills and major support along the way.

The Admissions team also welcomes you to campus for a tour. Please call 612-823-4516 to find the right team member and schedule a time. You can also call for application paperwork sent to your email or home. We're here to answer your questions and help you find a way to reach your goals.

What if you don't have the training I'm interested in?

We have access to other Job Corps centers with different training programs. The Humphrey Job Corps is the only campus in Minnesota.

Can students live at home?

Some students who live near campus commute each day. Those students commit to coming to class from 8am until 3:40pm every Monday through Friday. We can support you with a bus pass to help with your commute.

Where can I learn more?

Call 612-823-4516 to speak with an Admissions Counselor or visit https://huberthhumphrey.jobcorps.gov/

What's the cost to Job Corps? It seems too good to be true.

There is no financial cost to Job Corps students ever. Students commit their time and energy to finishing their diploma, trade and becoming employed. Job Corps students receive a biweekly stipend to help pay for small expenses throughout the program. They also receive clothing and transition money.

Is there a wait list?

We enroll students 2-3 times per month so there is almost never a wait to enroll.

How long does the program take?

It depends on the students needs. Job Corps is a self paced program where you'll be in classes with students at the beginning, middle and end of their training. Some students may finish as fast as 4-5 months while others take 2 years. Most students complete in about 1 year.

How long does it take to enroll?

It's usually about 6 weeks from meeting your Admissions Counselor to your start date, but we can help you enroll faster if you need to or help you schedule a date in the future for when you're ready.
