TRANSPORTATION:

By Metro: The closest Metro station is the Tenleytown/AU stop on the red line. From the Metro, you can take an AU shuttle bus to campus from the corner of Albemarle and 40th Street. The bus runs every 10–15 minutes. Take the Blue Route and get off at the Kerwin Hall stop (4th stop after the bus leaves the metro). The venue is across the street. Note: we do not recommend the Red Express route as it does not stop at East Campus. You can track the location of the shuttle at https://www.american.edu/finance/transportation/shuttle.cfm, or by downloading the Rider app for ETA based on your location.

PARKING: Guests may park in any campus lot. Prepay using kiosk: note-- you must have your license plate number. Please note that the university is now requiring payment seven days a week (including weekends) from 8:00am-10:00pm (which is a change from previous years).

• School of International Service Garage (Parking kiosks by elevators)

• East Campus Surface Lot. This lot is adjacent to the Constitution Hall event building but is only accessible by a right turn into the parking if you are heading east on Nebraska Avenue. So if you are heading west, you need to make a U-turn once you pass the university to ensure that you turn right into the East Campus by heading east towards Ward Circle (i.e. you pass the university, pass New Mexico Ave., turn left at Rockwood/Newark, and then make another left on 45th street, then right on Nebraska). A payment kiosk is outside right across from Constitution Hall.

All parking locations may be found on this map: https://www.american.edu/finance/publicsafety/parking/upload/parking-map.pdf
