Camp Description

Campers will experience self discovery and individual expression as they learn about and create their own jewelry art. Each day will begin with visually rich explorations of jewelry stories from different times and places. Instructors will facilitate an ongoing discussion throughout the week about the ways jewelry has been used to carry different symbolic values throughout history and across cultures. All campers will be invited to discover and share their own unique stories through simplified jewelry making projects. Each day will be a new opportunity to learn about the various tools, techniques and processes used in the creation of jewelry art. We’ll explore colors, textures, and natural materials as we learn and create in a safe and affirming environment. No two weeks will be exactly the same so feel free to sign up for multiple weeks.

Sample projects include: Backpack charms, Initial and Nameplate Jewelry, Charm Bracelets, Clay bead Jewelry, Paper Bead Jewelry, Macrame Keychains, Pyramid Inspired Jewelry Storage Boxes and many more!

After eventbrite purchase campers will be sent an email with a registration packet that includes registration forms and waivers to be completed and returned no later than the first day of camp.
