Youth/Teen Program is back as part of the TON Summit this year. If you are interested in bringing your child(ren)grades kindergarten through 12th to the TON Summit, please read below for the details and waivers required for registration.

TypeOne Nation Summit de JDRF

Acompáñanos el 18 de mayo para que te informes sobre el soporte existente entre colegas y amigos de la comunidad de diabetes y los progresos en la investigación. Asiste y participa en estas discusiones con un experto y conoce a otras personas que viven con diabetes. Este es un evento gratuito que se llevará a cabo en el Altman Clinical and Translational Research Institute (Instituto de Investigación Clínica y Traslacional Altman) de la Universidad de California en San Diego. Ofreceremos un desayuno continental, un refrigerio ligero y café.

Las sesiones incluyen:

• Café con nuestros colegas y amigos: lo que nos hubiera gustado que nos dijeran – En esta sesión, compartiremos nuestras experiencias personales y diagnóstico.

• Investigación en el campo de la diabetes con un experto: qué estamos haciendo – En esta sesión, nos acompañará el Dr. Schafer Boeder, investigador de la Universidad de California en San Diego, quien responderá nuestras preguntas sobre la investigación para lograr la cura de la diabetes.

Youth/Teen Programming

Teen breakout session focusing on grades 8 through 12th.

Youth program will have crafts and games for kindergarten through 7th grade.

For parents who do not plan to bring their child/chilrdren, and may need babysitting, please visit Type One Together to learn how you can access their babysitter list for T1D families. *Please note that Type One Together is a service and not responsible for connections being made. They simply connect sitter emails with parents and the rest is up to the sitter/families to decide what they are comfortable with.

Parents, we are focused on offering a safe and secure environment and will need your help with a few things.

• You must register your child for the Youth/Teen program using one of the following ticket types:

*YOUTH TICKET for children grades kindergarten through 7th grade. Limited number of tickets available.

* TEEN TICKET for children 8th through 12th grade

• Parents are not permitted to leave the TON Summit premises without their child(ren).
• Please review both the photo release and legal liability waiver
• Parents/Guardians will be contacted by text or call if your child needs help with their T1D management during the program.
