The Trio presents Jazz Without Borders, a program that bridges traditional jazz roots, Balkan heritage, and contemporary innovation.<h4>About the Concert</h4>The Vienna-based Dusha Connection Group is a leading force of Austrian jazz on the international stage. The trio cultivates a distinctive “nomadic” sound, infused with Slavic spirit and modern urban sensibilities, that connects audiences across cultures and continents. The program features highlights from the ensemble’s acclaimed discography. With technical precision, stylistic flexibility, and a deep commitment to creative interaction, <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=53&amp;v=d8zrI_35Ncw&amp;feature=youtu.be" title="https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=53&amp;v=d8zrI_35Ncw&amp;feature=youtu.be" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">the trio delivers a seamless fusion of classic jazz craftsmanship and contemporary exploration.</a> More than a concert, Jazz Without Borders is a musical dialogue that transcends boundaries and celebrates Austria’s vibrant presence on today’s global jazz scene.<h4>About the Artist</h4>Founded by <a href="https://www.esadhalilovic.com/about-me/" title="https://www.esadhalilovic.com/about-me/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Serbian-born, Vienna-based drummer and composer Esad Halilovic</a>, Dusha Connection has become an internationally recognized ambassador of Austrian jazz. Halilovic’s artistic vision centers on bridging musical traditions: Combining the foundations of jazz with the expressive depth of his Balkan heritage. <a href="https://www.urshager.com/" title="https://www.urshager.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Pianist Urs Hage</a>r, trained at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz and in Vienna, brings refined craftsmanship and innovative contemporary textures to the ensemble. <a href="https://clemensrofner.com/about" title="https://clemensrofner.com/about" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Bassist Clemens Rofner</a>, active across Europe, Asia, and North America, anchors the trio with rhythmic clarity and adventurous improvisation. A versatile musician on both double and electric bass, he is a prominent figure in the Austrian music scene. --- ACFNY LATECOMER AND RSVP POLICY It is of great importance to us that everyone can enjoy our events uninterruptedly. As a courtesy to our artists and our audience, please be so kind and be on time. We can only accept late arrivals to a minimum extent. Since our events are for free and we only have limited capacity in our theater, RSVPing does not guarantee entry. If you can no longer attend a free event, please cancel your reservation through Eventbrite online. Unclaimed reserved seats by 6:30 PM will be given to those on the waiting list. When we have reached the capacity of our theater, we will close our doors. In case there are still seats available after 6:30 PM, we will let people into the theater after the first applause. After that, we will close our doors for the evening. Furthermore, we reserve the right to cancel individual tickets at short notice. Priority will be given to guests visiting the ACFNY for the first time. And large bags, backpacks, and similar items must be checked in and cannot be brought into the theater.Thank you very much for your understanding.
