About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

Thank you for joining us for the previous round of Needs Assessment Workshops earlier this year in March!

We are excited to invite you this next phase of community dialogue and strategy building to inform the soon-to-come Jay, Livermore, and Livermore Falls Recreation and Facilities Master Plan!

What is a Build Session?

A Build Session is an interactive workshop designed to brainstorm, prioritize, and build solutions. Some refer to sessions like these as “working sessions” or “focus groups.” Build Sessions emphasize the focus on moving past talking about opportunities or issues and toward building actions.

Through this process, we will engage with local stakeholders who know the issues best and are likely to be involved in implementation. This is key to developing realistic actions and so Jay, Livermore and Livermore Falls community members can see themselves reflected clearly in the Master Plan to come.

Refreshments and snacks will be provided.

About the Master Plan:

The Towns of Jay, Livermore and Livermore Falls will be working with the Androscoggin Valley Council of Governments and consulting firm Fourth Economy (who helped the State of Maine prepare Maine’s 10 Year Outdoor Recreation Economy Roadmap that just launched) to develop an Outdoor Recreation and Facilities Master Plan. The master plan will investigate existing and future opportunities for recreation in the community and look into how regional collaboration around recreation may support economic development. Developing this master plan will seek lots of feedback from the community to map assets and identify needs. This project will be happening now through June of 2025.
