Through this experience, he found that although he interfaced with diverse people with diverse interest, there were a great number of common interests and goals. Jim Austin Online (JAO) has proved to be a resounding success. Originated in the fall of 2008 with 200 friends signing up to receive the e-newsletter, JAO now has a community of over 20,000 members. In conjunction with the weekly newsletter, JAO offers benefits that are exclusively found on JAO website or e-newsletter such as monthly business lunches with high profile individuals as host such as gubernatorial candidates and other relevant business and political figures. JAO also offers tickets to various theatrical, music and sporting events held at event venues such as Texas Trust CU Theatre, Dickies Arena, and the Dallas Cowboys Stadium. ABOUT THE NATIONAL MULTICULTURAL WESTERN HERITAGE MUSEUM

Founded in 2001, the Museum acknowledges the multicultural contributions of Hispanic Americans, Native Americans, European Americans, Asian and African Americans in the settlement of the American frontier. Works of artists and others who documented people and events of the time via journals, photographs, and other historical items are part of the museum's collection of overlooked materials that tell, often for the first time, our complete story. Through various educational programs (e.g., storytelling sessions, "Forgotten Cowboys Tour," cultural heritage workshops, historical reenactments, participatory learning, and hybrid programming) at the museum and in the community, the Museum shares our multicultural western heritage while instilling positive values of diversity, tolerance, hard-work, and determination. Visitors to the Museum and at our traveling exhibitions leave with an awareness that the American West came into being through the struggles and triumphs of racially and socio-economically diverse people.
