Presenting: Mental Health in the Workplace

This 60 minute presentation by a licensed mental health counselor will provide education about the state of mental health in Iowa, resources that HR professionals can utilize in their role to promote mental wellness in their organizations, and suggestions on how to continue the conversation about this important topic.

Learning Objectives:

  • Attendees will gain a clear understanding about the mental health crisis we are facing in Iowa due to the lack of providers.
  • Attendees will be equipped to respond when an employee shares their concerns about their mental health.
  • Attendees will be equipped to provide crisis resources when necessary.
  • Attendees will understand the importance of bringing in speakers to their organization to address mental wellness.

Ramona Wink, LMHC, is a licensed mental health counselor and motivational public speaker with 515 Therapy and Consulting in West Des Moines. In her role as a full-time therapist, Ramona works with adults and couples addressing problems such as anxiety, depression, grief/loss, relationship issues, LGBTQ issues, spiritual issues.

In her role as a motivational public speaker, Ramona is passionate about reaching audiences of all sizes due to the mental health crisis we face in Iowa.
