Do you find yourself curious about exploring BDSM events but feel unsure where to start? This workshop is designed for newcomers who want to learn the fundamentals of attending BDSM events, from navigating pick-up play to understanding the etiquette and overcoming initial shyness.

We'll cover everything you need to know to feel confident and safe in the scene, including:

Pick-Up Play Basics: How to approach, communicate, and engage with potential partners in a respectful, consensual way. Learn how to establish boundaries, use safe words, and ensure both parties are comfortable and on the same page.
BDSM Etiquette: Understand the unspoken rules and respectful behaviors that help create a positive and safe environment for everyone. From dress codes to consent practices, we’ll break down the dos and don’ts that every attendee should know.
Overcoming Shyness & Building Confidence: If the idea of stepping into a BDSM event feels intimidating, you're not alone! Learn strategies to overcome anxiety, approach others confidently, and embrace your curiosity without fear of judgment.

This workshop is perfect for those new to BDSM who want to feel prepared, comfortable, and empowered at their first event. Whether you’re looking to explore your desires or simply understand the dynamics of BDSM gatherings, you’ll leave with practical tips and a sense of excitement for your next adventure.

BIO:

Lex, a queer, black, and gender-fluid sex educator, brings a vibrant mix of authenticity, playfulness, and critical insight to the world of kink education. They center their workshops on fostering connection, empowerment, and exploration.
Their approach is rooted in radical optimism, mutual care, and a deep love for life’s complexities. With an extroverted and earnest personality, Lex creates a space for attendees to confront their desires, challenge societal norms, and navigate kink as a practice of liberation. They thrive on engaging with people who share their passion for curiosity, care, and bold self-expression.
A firm believer in intentional relationships, they prioritize meaningful connections with fellow black queers, trans folks, and gender outlaws. Their workshops explore themes like CG/l dynamics, pet play, bratting, and power exchange, and edge play all with a focus on consent, communication, and the nuances of kink.
