JAMEN 2.0

JAMEN 2.0

Overview

Connect, collaborate & build the future of regional journalism at the Journalism and Media Education Network (JAMEN) Summit 2.0!

The Journalism and Media Education Network (JAMEN) is a peer faculty and newsroom network connecting journalism and media educators across California's Central Valley region. Anchored by the Central Valley Journalism Collaborative (CVJC) and its Climate Solutions Reporting Lab, JAMEN brings together faculty from universities, colleges, and newsroom partners to share pedagogy, collaborate on curriculum, and align academic training with the real-world demands of regional news. JAMEN is also designed to create pathways for students and emerging journalists to build their careers in the Central Valley.

On September 25, 2026, we will host the second JAMEN Summit in Turlock — a full-day convening of faculty, students, reporters, editors, and regional partners. Together, we'll discuss the network's goals and key areas of impact, hear from academic and industry leaders shaping the future of journalism and media, and explore concrete strategies for cross-sector collaboration and investment.

Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

If you plan to attend, please register for a free ticket so we have an accurate headcount!
