The NWTF New River Longbeards chapter is excited to announce our JAKES Day 2024!
What does JAKES stand for? Juniors Acquiring Knowledge, Ethics and Sportsmanship (National Wild Turkey Federation program)
Get the kids out of the house! Participants will enjoy a day of fun and interactive events while they explore the outdoors and learn the traditions of responsible hunting. JAKES Day is for kids that are 5-17 years old.

-Interactive Nature Walk
-3D Archery
-Skeet
-Fishing (poles and bait provided)
-Build your own turkey call
-Dog Demos
-FREE Lunch-Prizes
-And Much More!
Cost: $10 is for Annual Jakes Membership Fee per child. Parent or guardian is free. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED to ensure enough food and supplies. Deadline to register is June 13th at 5pm. If you need help registering and can't online, please contact John Sackett at 910-581-0599. Must be at least 5 years old to participate and a parent or guardian must accompany a child.
