Pianist/Composer Jake Hart is an emerging artist recently signed with Sunnyside Records. He has performed in a multitude of international competitions and holds a Bachelor of Music from University of Miami’s Frost School of Music and a Master of Music from Salem College.

A fixture on the New York music scene for 30 years, guitarist John Hart has distinguished himself as a bandleader with ten CDs, including releases on such prestigious labels as Blue Note and Concord. John has also appeared on 100-plus CDs as a sideman.

Keith Saunders is a jazz pianist whose career has spanned 26 years in New York. Since 2010, Keith has resided in the Bay Area and has been a mainstay as a performer in the region in addition to being an educator.

Tickets are $30 general admission. Children under 12 are free. Advance tickets are available here, or if the show is not sold out, you may purchase your tickets at the door before the show.

Doors open one half hour before show time. We accept cash or Venmo only at the door.

Local musician Sam Rudin owns and operates The Back Room in downtown Berkeley, which honors his vision to recreate the cozy ambience of the original Freight & Salvage. Rudin describes his venture as a small space (100 people max), with great acoustics and comfortable seating, that showcases the musicians with respect and appreciation.
