About this event

  • Event lasts 4 hours

This 4-hour course provides law enforcement agencies and correctional personnel with information on jail operations, including classification, California Code of Regulations Title 15, and Perkins Operations. Students also learn to identify potential liability, de-escalation techniques, and updated information on suicide prevention. Students participate in scenario-based learning exercises that prepare them for what could happen within a correctional facility. Please note that this class DOES NOT replace the California State mandated Temporary Holding Cell class; it is designed to enhance student knowledge and provide additional information regarding safe operations inside correctional facilities.
